TELE – BRATION
I came across something pretty interesting from Fender. They have recently introduced special limited edition of guitars in glorious celebration of Fender’s first solid bodied guitar. If you remember, Fender released commercially the first ever solid bodied electric guitar and called it the Broadcaster which was later changed into the eternally popular Telecaster. Fender has released the Custom Shop’s 60th Anniversary Tele – Bration series which is in memoriam of the first few models of Telecasters in 1951. There are 5 Tele – Bration guitars that are definitely collector’s item stuff, if you love Fender like me, you would definitely would want to have these babies. The 5 Tele – Bration guitars are limited to 60 guitars per model only. Oh dear. It would be released in the summer of 2010.
What comes with these guitars are sick in a good way. Notes by George Fullerton about these specific guitar models, all in his original hand writing. The following Tele – Bration guitars that would be released are:
- 60th Anniversary Limited Telecaster Proto – the replica of the very guitar that Leo Fender took with him going to clubs and letting guitar players try it.
- 60th Anniversary Limited Broadcaster – very rare guitar.
- 60th Anniversary Limited Nocaster
- 60th Anniversary Limited Single Pickup Esquire
- 60th Anniversary Limited Two – Pickup Esquire
