Repertoire

I’m pretty much sure that if you are a good guitar player, you would have learned a lot of things. Yes, you could play some certain solos flawlessly , some intro parts without mistakes. That is good, don’t get me wrong, but can you play the whole song? Most guitar players only parts of a song because of the lick maybe or the guitar solo of the song, but the question is, can they play the whole song perfectly? Or how many songs can they play? This is the reason why a “repertoire” is important. If you want to know what a repertoire is, you came to the right damn place. It just so happen that I have the necessary information that you need to know about repertoires. By the moment you finish reading this, you will be enlightened.

A repertoire is a group of songs or pieces that you are comfortable playing with. It is something that you are confident enough to play. It is very important to have a repertoire because this is where people would judge you on your knowledge of music. It’s all about playing “whole” songs and not just fragments of it. So have a repertoire, prepare some songs, whole songs and perform it to hone your skills.
